Legora is an AI-native legal workspace serving 1,000+ customers across 50+ countries, including top law firms and enterprises. The company is scaling from ~250 to 1,600 people across 20+ locations within a year, and needs a Director of Business Operations to build and lead the operating engine that keeps the organization coordinated and aligned during this hypergrowth phase. In this role, you will own Legora's coordination infrastructure end-to-end: designing and running the operating model, OKR/planning cadence, company-wide metric tree, and decision-rights framework. You'll partner closely with Finance FP&A, Product Analytics, and the CEO office to drive monthly business reviews (MBRs) and quarterly business reviews (QBRs), translating metric analysis into business cases that inform strategic investment decisions. You'll define escalation paths, hold decision rights across the organization, and ensure alignment between quarterly planning cycles. You'll also own the business systems backbone—Notion, Slack governance, knowledge management, and tooling—keeping systems agent-ready as the company scales. You'll build and lead the Business Operations team from the ground up, absorbing and developing the operational layer needed for steady-state growth. This is a build-and-run leadership role: you're standing up the function while it already carries operational load. You bring 15+ years combining analytical rigor with hands-on operating experience—consulting or banking into an operator seat, or equivalent. You have a proven track record running company-wide planning (OKRs, metric trees, operating cadence) at 1,000+ person companies, ideally through hypergrowth. You're fluent in analytics, comfortable owning a metric tree end-to-end, and skilled with SQL and dashboard building. You move fluidly across altitudes—from leadership-committee decks to implementation details—and have executive presence and the backbone to drive outcomes through influence with founders and VPs. You have a builder's bias, creating structure rather than waiting to inherit it, and you treat "can an agent do this?" as a first question given headcount constraints. The role is based in New York City (Union Square office with daily company lunch) with flexibility for Stockholm or London. You'll collaborate globally with teams and clients across Europe, APAC, and North America.
