Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead strategic development and execution of manufacturing processes across the organization. This role oversees engineering teams managing diverse product lines including Intelligence Systems, Space, and Sentry platforms—all powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered command and control operating system.
You will be responsible for strategic oversight and tactical management of manufacturing engineering to support both new product development and high-volume production scaling at Arsenal. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing long-term manufacturing strategy aligned with company goals, driving innovation in automation and technology adoption, and defining KPIs to measure performance against operational and business objectives. You will architect requirements and roadmaps for next-generation digital manufacturing tools, and build systems and processes to support manufacturing of classified products in compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Operational excellence is central to the role. You will optimize manufacturing methods, tooling, and processes to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase throughput. You'll lead lean manufacturing initiatives, develop scalable processes to support rapid growth, and ensure all practices meet safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards, including classified product handling. Managing manufacturing plans across the product portfolio to adapt to capacity and demand fluctuations is essential.
Team development is equally important. You will build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers and technical staff, fostering cross-functional collaboration across product lines and supporting new product introductions. The role demands an innovative and adaptable approach to solving complex manufacturing challenges in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on national security capabilities.
