Waymark is a healthcare technology company on a mission to bring quality care to Medicaid patients by supporting primary care providers with technology-enabled solutions. The Director of Implementation is a senior operational leader responsible for end-to-end planning and delivery of Waymark's implementations, including new geographic expansions, managed care organization (MCO) contract launches, and provider group onboardings.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will own the implementation function's core infrastructure—project plans, workplans, governance structures, status reporting, risk and issue management, and repeatable playbooks. This is a hands-on role where you will personally lead the most complex, high-stakes launches while building and scaling the implementation team from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include: developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans with detailed workplans, milestone schedules, resource allocation, and critical path analyses; establishing and running implementation governance including project charters, RACI frameworks, working group cadences, and executive reporting; proactively identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks and dependencies; managing scope, timeline, and budget across concurrent implementations; and leading post-launch retrospectives to improve processes and playbooks.
You will serve as the senior implementation point of contact for MCO and provider partners, leading presentations, joint implementation meetings, and executive-level communications. You'll guide partners through onboarding, workflow integration, and adoption of Waymark's care model and technology while building trust-based relationships that position the company for contract expansion.
Internally, you will orchestrate cross-functional teams spanning clinical, product, engineering, analytics, quality, compliance, regional market leadership, and finance—driving alignment on scope, sequencing, and accountability. You'll partner with Regional VPs to translate contract requirements into executable local launch plans, work with product and analytics teams on data product deployments, and champion stakeholder alignment through transparent, proactive communication.
This is a unique opportunity to define the strategic and operational roadmap for the implementation function and evolve the team as Waymark scales.
