Salary: USD 190,000 - 225,000 / annual

You will join the Global Safety Pillar as an experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) professional, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Global Safety. This role is critical in establishing and continuously improving HSE performance, processes, and culture across Crusoe's physical infrastructure operations, including active deployments, operational data centers, and R&D projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site safety leadership and oversight for active deployments and operational data centers, serving as the primary safety point of contact for internal teams and external contractors
- Conduct risk assessments to workers and develop action plans to mitigate identified risks
- Develop and implement HSE processes, including Right to Know policies and Hazard Communication programs
- Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations, policies, and procedures; report on HSE objectives and metrics
- Facilitate incident investigations and lead root cause analysis efforts; monitor corrective action status
- Develop HSE awareness and culture through communications, training, and active program involvement
- Liaise with local contractors, clients, regulatory agencies, and air quality boards on HSE matters
- Maintain HSE documentation (MSDS/SDS folders) at worksites
This is a full-time position with 50% travel required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant HSE experience
- University degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Proven technical knowledge of HSE rules and regulations at Federal and State levels
- Direct implementation experience with HSE rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Experience with electrical safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E/OSHA 30)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills for documentation, reporting, and HSE management systems
- Legal work authorization in the US without sponsorship requirement
Bonus qualifications:
- HSE program experience in data center, cloud infrastructure, or R&D environments
- Professional certifications (CSP, ASP, OHST)
- Familiarity with environmental regulations impacting data center operations
