Salary: USD 142,000 - 237,000 / annual
Hudl is seeking a Director of Global IT to own the strategic, operational, and scaled execution of corporate IT across the organization. This is a leadership role that balances high-level strategy with hands-on execution, requiring a player-coach who can empower teams while staying technically credible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a multi-year IT strategy and roadmap aligned with business growth, establishing global IT standards, tooling, and operating practices across internal teams and managed partners
- Build efficient organizational structures with clear leadership and succession planning, leveraging automation and documentation to reduce single points of failure
- Establish IT as a measured service with defined SLAs, KPIs, and reporting cadences; own endpoint, identity/access, and core infrastructure operations alongside Security and Engineering teams
- Lead vendor and partner relationships under a 'One IT' model, serving as the commercial and operational point of contact for key vendors and managing contracts and renewals
- Operate as a peer to leaders across Engineering, Security, Finance, and People functions; bring structure to ambiguous problems and champion IT as a business enabler
The role requires regular in-office collaboration in Lincoln, NE, with more days in-office than remote. You'll have flexibility to coordinate your specific schedule with your team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading distributed teams while owning strategy, budgets, and standards while maintaining technical credibility
- Track record building efficient team structures, establishing SLAs and KPIs, and implementing automation and cross-training to scale impact
- Solid technical fluency in enterprise security, identity/access management, endpoint management, and core corporate IT infrastructure
- Strong executive communication skills; ability to present bottom-line-up-front and build cross-functional alignment
- Pragmatic, low-ego approach; thrives in growth-stage environments and makes sound build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience managing external IT vendor partners in global regions (Egypt, India)
- Experience leading teams across multiple time zones, specifically U.S., U.K., and Italy
