Isar Aerospace is building Europe's next-generation launch company with a focus on vertical integration, technical ambition, and execution excellence. As Director of Enterprise IT & Data, you will lead the function responsible for transforming Isar's digital backbone into a competitive advantage as the company scales from a high-performing engineering organization into a global space company.
You own the full Enterprise IT & Data portfolio: enterprise IT operations, core business platforms, architecture, data, AI enablement, and digital demand governance. This is not a maintenance role—your mandate is to build systems and processes that enable the company to move at mission speed while maintaining reliability, security, and scalability.
Key responsibilities include leading and developing the Enterprise IT & Data organization and its functional leads; defining roadmap, priorities, budget, and performance expectations; establishing transparent intake and prioritization processes for IT and data work; owning the SAP/ERP landscape and broader enterprise application architecture; driving an integrated digital thread across manufacturing execution systems (MES), product lifecycle management (PLM), ERP, and operational systems; setting direction for IT operations, infrastructure, resilience, and business continuity across all sites; and establishing an enterprise data platform that enables AI and business intelligence use cases across core business and operational domains.
You will partner closely with the CEO-Office on AI strategy and implementation, including tooling rollout, priority use cases, analytics, and executive dashboards. You will also work as a strategic technology partner to Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Launch Operations leadership, aligning digital capabilities with business objectives. The role works with Information & Cybersecurity as an independent counterpart on security governance, risk, compliance, and assurance.
The environment is high-ownership with minimal bureaucracy. You must think strategically, operate pragmatically, and drive execution relentlessly. The company is scaling internationally with new production facilities and launch operations, so you must ensure the enterprise technology landscape scales effectively while maintaining operational consistency and reducing vendor lock-in where possible.
