Zone & Co is an ERP-native AI platform for financial operations, purpose-built for organizations running on Oracle NetSuite. The company serves over 4,500 customers worldwide with AI-powered automation across the full financial lifecycle: Quote-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Treasury, Payroll Management, and Record-to-Report.
As Director of Engineering for the Americas, you will lead and scale engineering teams across the region, overseeing Platform Services and AI, Quote-to-Cash, and ZoneProcure teams while collaborating with engineering and product counterparts in EMEA and APAC. This is a strategic leadership role requiring a blend of technical expertise, team development, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
**Leadership & Team Development:** Attract, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of software engineers across the Americas and EMEA, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Lead the transformation of software delivery through agentic SDLC, Spec-Driven Development (SDD), and the AI Software Factory model. Collaborate with engineering teams globally to ensure alignment on technical vision and priorities.
**Technical Excellence:** Oversee design, development, and deployment of Zone's Platform and AI services (Zoe) across the product portfolio. Provide architectural oversight and hands-on technical leadership in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, agentic workflows, LLM/agent frameworks (LangGraph, AgentCore), AI/ML pipelines, and AWS services (Bedrock, ECS, Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB). Conduct code and architecture reviews, maintaining high engineering standards.
**Project & Stakeholder Management:** Ensure timely, high-quality delivery through effective planning and resource management. Collaborate with Product, Professional Services, Customer Success, and cross-functional partners to translate business needs into scalable solutions. Serve as senior technical contact for strategic customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and partnership growth.
**Innovation & Continuous Improvement:** Champion modern engineering practices including AI-powered development tools, CI/CD, DevOps, and automated testing. Prioritize technical debt remediation and foundational architecture improvements. Drive data-driven engineering decisions using metrics to inform prioritization and process improvements.

**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years progressive software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
- Proven experience leading remote-first teams across multiple time zones
- Hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, AI/ML pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM/agent frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, DSPy)
- Proficiency with AWS services including Bedrock, ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB
- Familiarity with agentic SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, and DevEx practices
- Strong understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP), data modeling, and systems integration
- Experience leading teams in the Americas and collaborating across EMEA and APAC
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with Product teams across geographies
- Domain experience in fintech, billing, reporting, or ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite experience is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts and tradeoffs to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and resources in fast-paced environments
- Exceptional problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
