Crusoe is seeking a Director of Development to lead the execution and delivery of large-scale AI data center campuses, each exceeding $1B in scope. This is a hands-on leadership role central to physical project delivery across the entire development lifecycle. You will oversee all aspects of development including entitlements and permitting, contractor management, and site delivery. Key responsibilities include leading multi-billion dollar data center campus execution from initial planning through final delivery, directing construction managers and engineering teams, building and maintaining master project schedules that align design, permitting, and construction milestones, managing entitlements and permitting processes with government agencies, identifying and proactively resolving execution risks, serving as primary point of contact with government agencies and internal stakeholders, and coordinating utility requirements and municipal approval processes. You bring minimum 10 years of experience in real estate development roles, preferably in industrial, life sciences, or infrastructure sectors. You have extensive experience in large-scale development project oversight end-to-end, strong working knowledge of construction contracts and development-related agreements, and ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels with limited oversight. You are familiar with utility coordination, permitting timelines, and municipal approval processes. Prior exposure to data centers or digital infrastructure and experience in entrepreneurial environments with bias toward action are bonuses. Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company that owns and operates each layer of the stack—from electrons to tokens—to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. The company is solving the AI compute power bottleneck with an energy-first approach. This role requires 5 days per week in-office presence in San Francisco.
