Pathos is building a next-generation biotech company with AI as its core operating system for drug development. The company challenges the traditional biotech model: most drugs fail not because the science is wrong, but because they are tested in the wrong patient populations with incorrect assumptions. Pathos is developing the largest foundation model in oncology paired with proprietary AI systems, deep oncology expertise, and 200+ petabytes of multimodal data linked to patient outcomes to enable precision development decisions earlier in the process. The company operates with a fundamentally different structure than traditional biotech. There is no middle management or approval layers. Instead, small teams of 2–4 subject matter experts command hundreds of AI agents to execute work that previously required dozens of people. Every function—from clinical execution to asset selection to the foundation model itself—operates on this model, delivering meaningful outcomes in hours rather than weeks. As Director of Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) for Biologics & ADC (Antibody-Drug Conjugates), you will lead the CMC strategy for the company's biologic and ADC programs. This is a director-level role responsible for overseeing manufacturing strategy, regulatory compliance, process development, and controls for complex biologic therapeutics. You will work directly with small, high-autonomy teams, orchestrate AI-driven manufacturing optimization, and make high-judgment calls that compound over time. The ideal candidate is a deep expert in biologic manufacturing and CMC who can specify requirements, leverage AI agents for execution at scale, and thrive in a fast-moving, flat organizational structure. This role is for operators who have built and shipped complex systems and are energized by environments where expertise becomes a superpower.
