Oscar Health is seeking a Director of Business Operations & Strategy to join the Business Operations Team, reporting to the SVP of Network and Provider Management. This role is central to building Oscar's long-term operational roadmap and strategically addressing organizational challenges with rigor and precision.
As Director, you will serve as a steward of process excellence, setting high operational standards across cross-functional stakeholders. Key responsibilities include developing and executing the operational roadmap, leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives, and driving end-to-end operational excellence to reduce risk and ensure efficient, repeatable processes. You will leverage subject matter expertise to drive program standardization, operationalization, and root cause analysis while collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize efficiency.
You will develop and present executive reporting materials to senior leadership on programs, projects, and strategic initiatives, maintaining visibility into internal processes and external industry trends. Additionally, you will act as a bridge between the People team and the business, partnering on organizational structure and change management to enable high performance and organizational success.
The role requires 10+ years of experience in operations, business strategy, or project management, with 4+ years in high-growth environments. You should demonstrate critical thinking, excellent communication, and proven experience leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives. Management consulting experience and 4+ years managing a team are valued bonuses. Travel is minimal at up to 5% annually.
