Lightspeed is seeking a Director of Product & Technology Operations to lead and evolve the operational systems that enable Product, Engineering, and Design teams to function as a unified organization. This is a strategic leadership role focused on designing and orchestrating planning processes, operational mechanisms, executive cadences, and business analytics that drive better decision-making, investment alignment, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape the Product & Technology operational system by designing and continuously improving annual and quarterly planning processes to foster clearer priorities and measurable results
- Build and evolve executive operational mechanisms (portfolio reviews, business reviews, leadership cadences) to establish accountability and accelerate decision-making
- Identify opportunities to simplify and optimize collaboration across Product, Engineering, and Design teams
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design leaders to translate strategy into investment plans, measurable outcomes, and clear portfolio visibility
- Develop executive dashboards and business analytics linking investments to customer value, execution progress, and overall performance
- Collaborate with Finance on financial planning, budgeting, workforce planning, and investment transparency
- Establish strong operational relationships with Finance, Sales/GTM, HR, Legal, Corporate Communications, and cross-functional partners
- Create alignment mechanisms and feedback loops to improve consistency, transparency, and execution across the enterprise
- Help the Product & Technology division communicate clearly where investments are made, why they matter, and what results are delivered
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing business operations team
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity, and operational excellence
Required Experience:
- Significant experience designing or evolving operational models, planning processes, or business mechanisms
- Track record leading organizations through operational change
- Experience implementing executive operational rhythms that drive decision-making
- Ability to bridge strategy, portfolio planning, financial planning, and workforce management
- Strong executive communication and business acumen skills
- Ability to influence senior leaders and build trusted cross-functional partnerships
- Fluency in English as a working language (global company with employees and customers outside Quebec)
