PDI Technologies is seeking a DevOps Engineer III - Platform Engineering to design, build, and operate advanced cloud infrastructure and platform solutions. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on technical depth and execution rather than people management. You will own complex DevOps and platform engineering initiatives across the full stack: CI/CD pipeline design and implementation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps; GitOps workflows with Argo CD or Flux; Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/OpenTofu with reusable modules; Kubernetes platform operations on EKS/AKS; cloud infrastructure on AWS; and automation tooling in Python, Go, Bash, or TypeScript. You will implement monitoring and observability using Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch, lead root-cause analysis for complex issues, and drive permanent technical fixes. Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with quality gates and security scanning; implementing GitOps-based deployments with declarative configuration and automated reconciliation; building scalable, secure AWS infrastructure across EC2, ECS, EKS, IAM, VPC, RDS, and related services; developing and enhancing modular Terraform frameworks for multi-product, multi-environment deployments; building reusable automation and Internal Developer Platform capabilities; operating and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters with standards for networking, security, scaling, and storage; implementing high-availability and disaster-recovery patterns; and applying AI/agentic automation to DevOps use cases using Amazon Bedrock or Azure OpenAI. You will mentor engineers, provide technical guidance on platform engineering initiatives, lead defined technical workstreams, participate in design and code reviews, and collaborate across Engineering, Platform, CloudOps, SRE, Security, and Architecture teams. You will also participate in on-call rotations as applicable. The ideal candidate independently owns complex technical requirements, translates architecture and standards into production-ready solutions, contributes to technical design decisions, and demonstrates strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with an automation-first mindset. REQUIREMENTS: - 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, Software Engineering, or related role - Strong hands-on experience with AWS and enterprise cloud infrastructure - Advanced experience with Terraform/OpenTofu and Infrastructure as Code, including reusable modules and multi-environment implementations - Strong experience designing, building, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent - Strong hands-on experience with GitOps deployment tools such as Argo CD, Flux, or equivalent - Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS and/or AKS, and Helm - Experience with configuration management and automation using Ansible or equivalent - Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Go, PowerShell, Bash, TypeScript, or equivalent - Experience with Git and pull-request-based development workflows - Strong understanding of IAM/RBAC, cloud security, networking, DNS, load balancing, VPCs/subnets, routing, and security groups/firewalls - Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or equivalent - Ability to independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, and deployment issues - Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance PREFERRED SKILLS: - Experience building or contributing to Internal Developer Platforms and developer self-service capabilities - Experience with multi-account AWS environments and enterprise cloud governance - Experience with Azure and AKS or other multi-cloud infrastructure - Experience with AI/LLM platforms and agentic automation, including Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI/OpenAI, or equivalent - Experience with policy-as-code, security scanning, SonarQube, Trivy, or similar engineering controls - Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices - AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or other relevant certifications - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
