Cobre is a corporate treasury and payments platform serving Latin American companies. The company provides CFO-tech built on owned payment rails, enabling real-time domestic and cross-border payments. Cobre has grown 10x in the past 12 months and serves corporates and tech giants across the region.
The Infrastructure team at Cobre comprises Cloud Operations and DevOps engineers responsible for maintaining platform reliability, security, and scale. This Senior DevOps Engineer role focuses on designing and operating cloud infrastructure while enabling fast, safe deployments through automation and best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, Jenkins) for fast and repeatable deployments
- Operate and support AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, working toward zero-downtime deployments
- Apply DevOps best practices including automation, version control, GitOps, and declarative configuration
- Support teams in defining infrastructure for solution architecture
- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability dashboards
- Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues; participate in incident response and postmortems
- Ensure infrastructure security and cost efficiency through best practices and optimization
- Support load testing, scalability testing, and capacity planning
- Document runbooks and procedures; leverage AI tools for automation and troubleshooting
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or SRE roles in production environments
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with CircleCI or Jenkins
- Solid understanding of DevOps best practices: automation, Git, GitOps, declarative configuration
- Working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi)
- Experience with monitoring/logging/alerting tools (New Relic, Datadog, CloudWatch) and observability
- Strong automation mindset and interest in AIOps (n8n, AWS Bedrock, Python scripting)
- Practical, day-to-day use of AI tools in engineering work (required, not optional)
- Awareness of secure-by-design principles and cloud cost optimization
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in distributed systems
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fail-fast, learn-fast attitude with willingness to experiment and collaborate
