Vizzia is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Dessinateur-Projeteur Senior) to lead the conception, evolution, and industrialization of mechanical products with precision and speed. You will be responsible for ensuring robustness, manufacturability at industrial scale, and compliance with real-world field constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and Technical Documentation: Create 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks with PDM file management. Produce technical drawings (tolerances, materials, finishes) directly usable by manufacturing partners. Update existing component drawings and evolve the Borne 4.2 product line.
• Manufacturability and Sealing: Design plastic injection and aluminum sheet metal parts optimized for series production. Integrate sealing and robustness constraints (IP/IK ratings) from the design phase. Incorporate electronics constraints into mechanical designs.
• Prototyping and Validation: Build prototypes using 3D printing and workshop facilities to validate design choices. Conduct design validation testing and iterate designs based on results.
• Documentation and Handoff: Create and maintain bills of materials and assembly documentation. Deliver manufacturing files to industrial partners and support their technical questions. Collaborate with manufacturing and procurement teams on technical choices and cost optimization.
The role is based in central Paris (9th arrondissement) with hybrid flexibility. You'll work across the design office, workshop, and prototype areas. Vizzia values precision, ownership, and execution, and seeks someone genuinely interested in public-sector applications.
Benefits include ETAM contract status, 8–12 RTT days annually, choice of Mac or PC, BSPCE equity, 60% meal voucher coverage (€9/day), sustainable mobility allowance, Alan health insurance, and regular team offsites.
Requirements:
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer (dessinateur projeteur)
• Daily proficiency with SolidWorks and PDM systems
• Solid experience in plastic injection molding, aluminum sheet metal work, and GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
• Proven experience designing mechanical parts for electronic products with sealing constraints
• Ability to deliver reliable drawings and proactively flag design concerns with alternatives
• Preference for on-site work across design, workshop, and prototyping environments
