Wiz is a rapidly growing cloud and AI security platform trusted by over 65% of the Fortune 100. As a Designated Support Engineer (DSE), you will serve as a dedicated technical partner to a select group of the company's largest and most strategic customers, acting as a long-term extension of their teams rather than a traditional support agent. You will report to the Director of Critical Accounts Support and provide white-glove technical expertise to drive stability, accelerate issue resolution, and maximize customer value from the Wiz platform. Your responsibilities include serving as the primary technical point of contact for a small portfolio of strategic accounts, developing deep familiarity with each customer's cloud architecture, security policies, and technology stack to provide highly contextualized troubleshooting and guidance. Key responsibilities include leading regular technical cadence meetings to review open cases and prioritize issues, proactively monitoring customer environments to identify risks and optimization opportunities before they become incidents, and creating customer-specific runbooks and documentation to streamline future support interactions. You will facilitate root cause analysis reviews for major incidents, optimize customer workflows through targeted technical guidance, and develop AI agents to perform broad customer-base analysis identifying accounts experiencing chronic issues or systemic performance risks. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience, plus 5+ years in Enterprise Technical Support, Technical Account Management (TAM), or Solutions Engineering. You must have strong technical proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes), experience troubleshooting complex technical issues involving networking, API integrations, and system administration, and the ability to read and understand code (Python, Go, JSON) for debugging and advanced configuration. Additional requirements include excellent relationship management skills to build trust with technical practitioners and engineering leadership, strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities across multiple high-touch accounts, and a proactive, prevention-first mindset focused on long-term customer health. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with Fortune 500 or Global 2000 customers, cloud provider certifications, familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools and CI/CD pipelines, and background in cybersecurity or Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP).
