Meesho, a rapidly growing e-commerce platform in India, is seeking a Deputy Manager for Procurement to lead commercials and procurement operations across IT, Marketing, HR, Admin, and Legal verticals. You will be part of a 50+ person commercials team comprising Chartered Accountants, business experts, and engineers with international experience.
In this role, you will lead assigned procurement categories (particularly Marketing and IT), performing cost analysis and benchmarking exercises to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers. You will manage the full procurement lifecycle—from vendor identification and evaluation to contract negotiation and closure—while maintaining proper documentation and reporting. Key responsibilities include establishing category-specific sourcing strategies, managing stakeholder relationships internally and externally, ensuring compliance with regional statutory regulations and tax structures, and delivering quick turnarounds on deal closure without compromising due process.
You will work across diverse projects spanning IT procurement (software, SaaS, subscriptions, servers, hardware), marketing procurement, and other organizational categories. The role demands strong analytical capabilities, market knowledge, vendor management expertise, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines. You will also maintain industry connections for benchmarking purposes and ensure data integrity across procurement trackers and reports.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Master's degree preferred)
- 4–7 years of post-qualification experience in procurement
- Preference for candidates with hands-on IT and/or Marketing procurement experience
- Excellent knowledge of cost models and pricing methodologies
- Proven skills in market analysis, vendor identification, vendor profile evaluation, performance assessment, and vendor management
- Knowledge of regional statutory regulations and tax structures relevant to procurement categories
- Ability to network and build high-quality working relationships across multiple locations
- Strong capability to work independently and collaboratively, providing direction and troubleshooting
- Ability to understand requirements, translate them into solutions, and deliver with quick turnaround
- Strong analytical and data management skills, particularly in marketing procurement
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Desirable: knowledge of e-sourcing applications (ARIBA, SAP, Oracle)
