Skild AI is building general-purpose robotic intelligence that adapts to unseen scenarios. The company is Series B-funded and focused on deploying robots at scale through data-driven machine learning. The Deployment & Support Engineer is responsible for the full lifecycle of robotic system deployment at customer sites, including installation, commissioning, configuration, testing, and validation. The role combines field deployment work with remote technical support. During deployments, you will lead on-site installation activities, coordinate with customers and internal teams, train customer personnel on system operation and maintenance, and ensure systems meet technical and customer requirements. Between deployments, you provide remote and on-site technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and integration issues. You will diagnose root causes, implement corrective actions, escalate complex issues to engineering teams, and maintain detailed support documentation. You will work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to resolve technical issues, provide feedback from customer sites to improve robot performance and usability, assist with testing new features and software releases, and contribute to developing deployment and support processes. The role requires travel to customer locations, occasional extended hours or weekend work to support deployments, and hands-on work around robotic and industrial systems. Success is measured by timely and high-quality deployments, reliable customer support, efficient troubleshooting, positive customer relationships, accurate documentation, adherence to safety and quality procedures, and contributions to improving deployment capacity and team capabilities. REQUIREMENTS: Required: - Experience in robotics, automation, mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, or related technical field - Hands-on experience with installation, troubleshooting, or maintenance of complex technical systems - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and system specifications - Familiarity with computers, networking, software configuration, and technical troubleshooting - Strong communication and customer service skills - Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities - Willingness to travel to customer sites as required - Ability to perform physical tasks associated with equipment installation Preferred: - Experience deploying or supporting robotic systems in customer or production environments - Experience with industrial automation, autonomous mobile robots, or related technologies - Familiarity with Linux, networking, APIs, or software debugging - Experience with system commissioning, validation, or integration - Experience providing technical support to customers or end users - Experience creating technical documentation and troubleshooting procedures - Ability to work with cross-functional engineering and product teams
