Hippocratic AI is seeking a Deployment Strategist to serve as the technical architect and implementer for AI agent deployments in healthcare settings. This forward-deployed, onsite role is based in Duarte, CA, with five days per week at the client site and occasional travel to Menlo Park headquarters.
You will bridge customer needs and technical execution by designing agent workflows, managing the build process, handling integrations, and ensuring deployments deliver measurable clinical value. The role demands strong technical judgment, customer empathy, and the ability to scope complex problems under uncertainty. You will orchestrate integrations, configure AI agents, and run deployments from initial scoping through optimization—not writing code, but making high-level technical decisions.
Key responsibilities include: partnering with customers to understand workflows and define agent scope; designing agent workflows and configuring prompts and behaviors; acting as the lead technical and operational advisor during deployment; developing build timelines and coordinating with engineering; defining data requirements and integration workflows; and monitoring agent performance post-launch to drive continuous improvements.
Success is measured by accurate scoping that translates customer workflows into well-structured agent designs, efficient builds using established tools and patterns, smooth integrations with reliable data flow, trusted customer relationships, analytics-driven optimization, documented patterns and reusable configurations, and effective end-to-end project management with timely go-lives.
Required: 5+ years of technical experience (software engineering, cloud architecture, systems design, or technical consulting); strong analytical and problem-solving skills; customer empathy and communication ability; and project management capability including scoping, estimation, and proactive status communication.
Nice-to-haves: healthcare domain expertise (clinical workflows, EHR systems, FHIR standards); AI/ML orchestration or prompt engineering experience; healthcare IT experience (EHR integrations, data pipelines, clinical informatics); and experience building tools for complex, regulated environments.
