Base is rebuilding America's power grid through distributed battery networks. The Deployment Operations Specialist (Product Launch) role owns the operational coordination for taking new hardware products from pilot through full-scale deployment.
You will be the central hub keeping engineering, field crews, training, and warehousing synchronized during product launches. Key responsibilities include:
- Owning cross-functional rollout plans for new hardware, tracking progress from early pilot to public launch while identifying risks and blockers.
- Driving product readiness across Deployments teams (field operations, training, logistics, warehousing) and escalating slipping items.
- Coordinating pilot builds and installs—scheduling, materials, crew assignments, permitting—then scaling those processes for broader deployment.
- Running intake for field issues on new hardware, routing each to the appropriate engineering owner and tracking to resolution.
- Writing and maintaining playbooks, field-facing instructions, and issue logs to capture and reuse learnings across pilots.
- Authoring weekly program updates for engineering and leadership covering fixes, open items, risks, and overall program progress.
This is a technical program coordination role requiring comfort with engineering detail and the ability to manage dozens of concurrent items under shifting priorities. You'll build deep expertise in how hardware gets designed, built, tested, and deployed at scale, with direct influence over future product launches.
