Anduril Industries is seeking a Mission Operations Deployment Lead for its Air Defense team. This role is responsible for delivering and sustaining air defense capabilities that meet customer mission requirements in challenging operational environments worldwide.
You will orchestrate hundreds of deployment events annually, including site installations, test and evaluation exercises, demonstrations, and training visits. Leading cross-functional teams spanning hardware supply, logistics, and engineering, you will manage every step of the deployment process from site survey through testing, installation, training, and sustainment. This requires meticulous planning, resourcefulness, and exceptional judgment in high-pressure situations. You will anticipate contingencies, build lightweight processes, assess and mitigate risk, and continuously improve based on experience.
Key responsibilities include:
**Deployment Planning & Execution**: Orchestrate complex deployment events with rigorous operational execution and detail orientation. Manage logistics, coordinate with multiple teams, and ensure mission success. Demonstrate extraordinary composure and grit in challenging field conditions.
**Relationship Management**: Build trust with customers, industry partners, users, and internal teams through effective communication, positive attitude, and reliable follow-through. Listen carefully to understand counterpart priorities and requirements, develop rapport quickly, and communicate honestly and directly across the organization.
**Mission Expertise**: Develop deep knowledge of customer mission requirements, including threat profiles, regulatory challenges, resource constraints, and rules of engagement. Become the voice of the customer, translating requirements to engineering teams to enhance product capabilities.
**Product Expertise**: Develop thorough understanding of Anduril's Family of Systems capabilities and limitations. Stay curious about underlying technology—sensor modalities, sensor fusion, power and networking requirements—and become an opinionated power user who can forecast system performance across threat profiles and mission constraints.
Required qualifications include an advanced degree or 3-5+ years experience in a technical field, preferably defense, national security, or aerospace. You must be highly organized, a creative problem-solver with proven project management skills, and experienced in creating and maintaining documentation for new or developing processes.
