Base Power is rebuilding America's electrical grid through distributed battery deployment. As a Deployment Engineer, you'll be the operational backbone of launching new utility partnerships, defining how Base deploys thousands of batteries at scale.
You'll own the end-to-end deployment operations pipeline—from signed utility partnerships through Permission to Operate (PTO). This includes building internal systems and procedures, serving as the primary technical contact for utility partners, coordinating interconnection agreements, managing installation timelines, and troubleshooting operational bottlenecks. You'll develop process automations, collect data for continuous improvement, and run deployment feasibility studies for new utility regions.
Key responsibilities include: managing daily pipeline health across partner queues, coordinating handoffs between field teams and partners, developing operational procedures for field work, owning CRM data integrity, and collaborating cross-functionally with pipeline, marketing, and business operations teams to scale partnerships.
You bring 3+ years in operations, program management, or partnerships roles with multi-disciplinary collaboration experience. Preferred background includes energy, utilities, construction, or field services operations. You have hands-on experience with mechanical or electromechanical systems, a track record of building external partner relationships, and experience developing field or manufacturing processes. Knowledge of utility companies, interconnection agreements, or regulated energy markets is a plus. You're detail-oriented, organized, comfortable owning CRM systems, and have strong written and verbal communication. A degree in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, or industrial engineering (or equivalent) is expected.
Base is a venture-backed startup deploying distributed energy storage to transform the grid. The Deployment Operations team works at the intersection of utility partners, field operations, and internal teams, moving quickly while building for long-term scale. You'll work in-person in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
