As a Deployment Engineer, you will specialize in providing technical assistance to field engineers, technicians, and product support teams in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex systems including electro-mechanical equipment, computers, complex software, and networked/wireless systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deploy and integrate Mavenir products for global customers
- Perform integration and testing with telecom products
- Execute software and hardware configuration changes for Mavenir products in customer test labs and live environments
- Create project documentation including methods of procedure, acceptance testing documentation, and high/low-level designs
- Participate in technical workshops, customer meetings, and end-to-end delivery project activities
- Communicate and collaborate with customer representatives and project teams on technical issues, deliveries, and project lifecycle plans
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues in production environments
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, OCP, AWS, and VMware Tanzu
- Solid knowledge of operating systems (Linux), virtualization (VMware and other hypervisors), and networking tools (Wireshark)
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages, preferably UNIX/Linux or Python
- Working experience with L2 and L3 switches from HPE, Cisco, and Dell; load balancers
- Ability to visualize end-to-end networks with sensitivity to handling live network environments
- Basic understanding of mobile and IP network operations, call flows, and familiarity with ITU-T/ANSI and 3GPP telecom standards/protocols (desired)
- O&M tools proficiency
