Salary: USD 112,000 - 149,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building AI-powered systems for military applications. The Air Defense team develops networked sensors and effectors to detect, track, identify, and defeat unmanned aerial systems (UAS) threats.
As a Deployment and Training Lead, you will own the full lifecycle of air defense system deployments—from planning and installation through training, sustainment, and continuous improvement. You will orchestrate hundreds of deployment events annually, including site installations, test and evaluation exercises, demonstrations, and training visits. You will lead cross-functional teams spanning hardware supply, logistics, and engineering to achieve mission success.
Key responsibilities include:
**Deployment Planning & Execution:** Manage every step of the deployment process, from site survey through testing, installation, and sustainment. Demonstrate extraordinary judgment, grit, and composure in high-pressure situations. Anticipate contingencies, build lightweight processes, assess and mitigate risk, and continuously improve based on experience.
**Training Development & Delivery:** Own the training mission for your deployments. Develop and deliver training curricula across multiple formats—computer-based simulations, knowledge portals, hands-on individual and collective training events. Create and maintain training materials that evolve with product capabilities. Identify knowledge gaps and ensure end users are proficient and confident in employing the full Family of Systems.
**Relationship Management:** Build trust with customers, industry partners, users, and Anduril teammates through effective communication, positive attitude, and follow-through. Internalize counterparts' priorities and requirements. Develop relationships across the organization and communicate honestly and directly.
**Mission Expertise:** Develop deep knowledge of customer mission requirements, including threat profiles, regulatory challenges, resource constraints, and rules of engagement. Become a subject matter expert and voice of the customer. Serve as the counter unmanned systems (cUAS) subject matter expert, helping customers resource realistic training and manage hardware/software configurations.
**Product Expertise:** Develop thorough understanding of Anduril's Family of Systems capabilities and limitations. Become an opinionated power user who can forecast system performance against various threat profiles, environmental conditions, and mission constraints.
**Hardware & Software Configuration Management:** Manage end-to-end hardware and software configurations for all assigned equipment at deployment sites. Ensure systems are properly configured, updated, and maintained for peak performance.
You will represent Anduril to customers, building their confidence through professionalism and excellence. You will also represent customers back to Anduril, communicating user feedback and lessons learned to drive continuous product improvement.
**Requirements:**
- Advanced degree OR 5+ years of experience in a technical field, preferably in defense, national security, or aerospace
- Proven experience planning and delivering technical training programs
- Highly organized creative problem-solver with proven project management skills
- Experience creating and maintaining documentation for new or developing processes, including training curricula and programs of instruction
- Proven experience leading tech-enabled teams of peers while building a culture of influence through relationships
- Deep interest in national security issues and defense technologies with commitment to lifelong learning
- Experience translating technical concepts into operational requirements, performance specifications, and training materials
- Ownership mentality with strong initiative in managing work in isolated or remote environments
- Comfort communicating complex concepts simply across various communication methods and tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance; Top Secret preferred
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Prior military experience, particularly in Air Defense, Fires, or related operational roles
- Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School (USAFWS)
- Experience within United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) or Special Operations Forces (SOF) community
- Operational experience delivering defense technology solutions to USG customers in hazardous areas or combat zones
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
