Oura is seeking a Demand Planner for North America Retail to own forecasting, replenishment planning, and inventory analysis across major retail partners including Best Buy, Amazon, Target, Costco, and Canada. This individual contributor role translates point-of-sale data, inventory positions, promotional signals, and commercial insights into demand plans and actionable recommendations.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining weekly, monthly, and quarterly sell-through and sell-in forecasts for North America retail partners; translating retailer POS, inventory positions, historical trends, seasonality, and promotional plans into demand assumptions; supporting monthly consensus planning processes; and maintaining visibility of baseline demand, upside, downside scenarios, and key forecast drivers.
You will monitor retail inventory health using on-hand inventory, on-order inventory, weeks-of-supply, and forward-looking demand. You'll recommend sell-in and replenishment plans balancing revenue goals, service levels, and inventory health. You'll identify risk areas such as low stock, excess inventory, and phase-in/phase-out transitions, escalating issues with clear recommendations. During constrained supply periods, you'll support allocation decisions by quantifying demand, inventory risk, and business impact.
The role requires partnering with Retail, GTM, Product, and Supply Planning teams on promotional events, assortment changes, and new launches. You'll convert commercial plans into forecast assumptions and planning scenarios, support new product launch planning and lifecycle transitions, and contribute to end-of-life planning by assessing inventory exposure and markdown risk.
You will own recurring retail demand planning analyses and reporting, including forecast versus actuals and inventory health metrics. You'll analyze weekly and monthly performance to explain outcomes and inform next planning cycles. You'll maintain transparent audit trails of forecast changes and their impact. You'll build and improve tools and reporting in Google Sheets, Tableau, or similar platforms, help shape business requirements for planning system improvements, and support process improvement work-streams that enhance retail planning scalability and accuracy.
The ideal candidate has 4–6+ years of hands-on demand planning, merchandise planning, or related analytical experience supporting physical products in retail, consumer electronics, CPG, or similar environments. You should have experience with retail forecasting concepts such as sell-through versus sell-in, promotional lifts, inventory targets, and weeks-of-supply. Strong analytical and modeling skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets are essential. You're comfortable working with large data sets from multiple sources including POS, inventory, and shipment data, and can translate analysis into clear business insights.
