OLIPOP is a Series C beverage company on a mission to positively impact consumer health through functional soda—products with 6-9g of fiber and 2-5g of sugar that taste great without sacrificing nutrition.
As a Demand Planner, you will own the monthly demand forecast for an assigned portfolio of customers and SKUs. You will build and publish forecasts in Anaplan, quantify risk and opportunity, and bring your portfolio into consensus and S&OP meetings. You are the company expert on order behavior for your accounts and the first to know when something is moving.
This role sits within an active transition from Excel-based planning to Anaplan. You will plan in the system, not around it, and help shape how the demand review cycle runs as functionality comes online. You will own a real forecast with real exposure to Sales, Revenue Growth Management, and Finance—this is where a planner stops producing a number and starts defending a position.
Key Responsibilities:
Forecast Ownership: Build, validate, and publish monthly demand forecasts in Anaplan for your portfolio, including baseline, promotional lift, new item ramp, and phase-out. Review statistical baselines each cycle, apply overrides with documented reasoning, and maintain override discipline. Build and compare scenario versions for risk and opportunity. Hold forecast accuracy and bias to target, reviewing results every cycle with root cause analysis on misses. Build launch forecasts for new items using historical analogs, marketing support, and account-level merchandising plans.
Business Partnership: Represent your portfolio in consensus and S&OP, presenting forecast changes and drivers to Sales, Revenue Growth Management, and Finance. Collect and challenge assumptions on promotional activity, launches, distribution changes, pricing, and customer plans. Quantify and communicate risk and opportunity early. Partner with Supply Planning on inventory position, weeks of supply, and fill rate risk. Become the company expert on retailer and channel trends using internal, POS, and syndicated data. Support annual operating plan and long-range planning cycles.
Systems and Process: Participate in Anaplan implementation including user acceptance testing, data validation, and migration off Excel. Partner with the Demand Planning Analyst on master data accuracy and reporting. Adhere to demand review calendars and forecast lock dates. Identify and help fix slow, manual, or unreliable cycle steps.
