Givebutter is a mission-driven nonprofit fundraising and CRM platform that has been certified as a Great Place to Work since 2021 and is the #1 rated nonprofit software company on G2. The company offers a free platform with a transparent tip-or-fee model, enabling nonprofits to consolidate fundraising, donor management, email, and event tools in one place. You will join the Data team as a Product Data Scientist, partnering closely with engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant influence over the company's data strategy and product understanding. Key responsibilities include: **Product Data Modeling**: Partner with stakeholders to understand short- and medium-term data needs. Own the definition, logic, and documentation of the data model supporting product analytics, emphasizing quality, usability, and clear documentation in a fast-moving environment. **Product & Revenue Analytics**: Manage the inflow of data requests from product and revenue teams with clear communication on needs, expectations, and timelines. Drive the strategic product analytics roadmap by identifying high-impact analyses before they're explicitly requested. **User Behavior & Experimentation**: Become a subject matter expert on user movement through the product. Drive the company's understanding of activation, engagement, and retention through behavioral analyses, funnel work, and product event data. Design, run, and communicate A/B experiment results end-to-end, applying statistical rigor in practical contexts and helping stakeholders make confident decisions even with ambiguous results. **Product Metrics Management**: Own the definition, logic, and documentation of product metrics across the business. Ensure consistency in how key measures are defined, calculated, and communicated. Partner with product stakeholders to evolve the metrics framework as the product grows, identifying where existing metrics are insufficient or misleading. **Agentic Analytics Support**: Contribute domain expertise and evaluation rigor to the company's in-house agentic analytics framework. Help define what good outputs look like across query, analytics, insights, and reporting agents. Collaborate on building eval suites for AI-generated analytical outputs and participate in agent improvement cycles. The ideal candidate has deep experience turning product event data—clickstream, funnel events, user sessions, feature interactions—into behavioral insights. You understand how Product and Revenue teams use data differently and can build analyses that influence decisions rather than just document what happened. You have hands-on experience designing and running A/B experiments in practical contexts, including navigating inconclusive results. You're experienced in defining and governing product metrics and building dashboards and reports that stakeholders trust and return to. You have hands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate analytical work and genuine curiosity about agentic AI in data contexts. **Requirements** - 4+ years of experience in Product Analytics, experimentation, and working with product event or clickstream data - Advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience - Expert querying and data manipulation skills using SQL and Python (or any coding language) - Ability to proactively drive initiatives with minimal oversight; you understand when needs arise and creatively find solutions - Demonstrated interest in implementing agentic AI in a data context (actual experience preferred but optional)
