True Anomaly builds autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors for U.S. and allied space superiority. As a Data Scientist II in Operations & Reliability, you will develop predictive models and real-time anomaly detection systems to catch component failures before they impact missions. Your work spans the full lifecycle: analyzing manufacturing telemetry and historical reliability records to predict failures, designing anomaly detection systems for launch operations and spacecraft integration that flag deviations without overwhelming operators, and performing root cause analysis on schedule delays and quality issues using causal inference and statistical modeling. You'll mine historical production data to identify bottlenecks, optimize test durations, and reduce rework. You'll also score supplier reliability, predict delivery delays, and develop integrated diagnostic tools that fuse logs, telemetry, and historical data to accelerate engineering investigations. Additionally, you'll build and maintain operational dashboards providing real-time situational awareness across production, test, and integration workflows. This role requires strong technical depth in predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and data engineering, with the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights for operations teams. You'll work closely with manufacturing, test, and mission operations teams to ensure data-driven decision-making keeps spacecraft on schedule and missions on track.
