Oden Technologies is a manufacturing AI company building real-time applications that combine process and context data with advanced ML and AI algorithms to help factory operations teams monitor, analyze, and optimize production. The company is at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution in manufacturing, aiming to maximize efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness.
As a Data Scientist on the Customer Solutions team, you will build models and algorithms that transform customer manufacturing data into actionable insights. Your work will focus on predictive quality models, machine failure prediction, and pattern discovery in time-series data. You'll work with real-time process measurements, external context data, and outcomes like quality, cost, and yield, drawing on data science, machine learning, and statistics.
You will have an AI-first mindset, working with agentic AI models and frameworks that enable customers to interact with their data through natural language, including Oden's Agentic Root Cause Analysis methodology. This is an end-to-end role where you'll carry projects from concept through development and deployment, acting as a bridge between Oden's technical team and customer stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working directly with Oden customers to scope data analysis and modeling needs for real manufacturing problems
- Developing and validating models, algorithms, and methods delivered through the Oden platform
- Validating results in live, real-world customer deployments
- Partnering with engineering to implement and ship solutions
- Generalizing one-off solutions into next-generation product features
- Working with Product to translate customer problems into roadmap requirements
- Engaging with the technical community to share results and stay current on the field
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1–3 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer
- B.S. or M.S. in Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Economics, or related field
- Strong Python skills, including common ML and statistics libraries
- Strong SQL skills
- Familiarity with process improvement and exploratory techniques (design of experiments, optimization)
- Hands-on familiarity with generative AI models for code development, experimentation, and generating insights
- Comfort directing frontier AI models and AI agents as tools you steer
- Drive to own projects end-to-end, from first experiment to customer delivery
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
