Zynga, a global leader in interactive entertainment and a label of Take-Two Interactive, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join its data science and analytics team in Bengaluru. The team uses expansive player data to model and predict user behavior, making games more personalized and engaging across a portfolio that includes FarmVille, Words With Friends, Zynga Poker, and many others—downloaded over 6 billion times globally.
In this role, you will identify and formalize problems to understand user behavior, creating systems and analyses that derive actionable insights. You'll work with millions of daily active players and tremendously rich datasets to find opportunities that improve player experience and core game metrics. Your responsibilities include:
• Analyzing large datasets to identify opportunities for improving player experience
• Delivering analytics and data science projects aligned with studio roadmap and product goals
• Maintaining source-of-truth data sources and dashboards that empower game studios to make evidence-based decisions
• Collaborating closely with game teams to design, test, verify, and implement machine learning models and product features that impact millions of users
• Communicating findings to both technical and non-technical peers through visual, maintainable solutions
• Working with Product Managers, Game Designers, and Engineers to translate insights into production impact
You will be expected to balance actionable insights with substantial improvements to core metrics, drive quantitatively informed decision-making across the studio, and demonstrate the business impact of your work.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field (Master's, MBA, or PhD preferred)
• 5+ years of work experience in data science or analytics roles
• Fluent in SQL; solid programming experience in Python
• Proficiency with at least one visualization tool (Tableau, QlikView, or similar)
• Demonstrable experience with statistics, experimental design, machine learning, and/or deep learning
• Experience analyzing large datasets in Hadoop or Spark environments and deploying production-ready systems at scale
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with changing priorities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, analysts, and marketing teams
• Strong passion for gaming
