Jerry.ai is building an AI-powered platform to manage all your physical assets—starting with car insurance and expanding into home, motorcycle, RV, and beyond. The company has reached 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, scaled revenue 70X, and achieved profitability in early 2024. They are now scaling toward 50M customers and a $10B valuation.
The Data Science & Analytics team is composed of former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who drive insights and inform decision-making across the entire business. Each data scientist is embedded within a core business unit (Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships) and owns the analytical function end-to-end.
In this role, you will:
- Define the right problems by understanding what business question an analysis answers and what decision it informs; push back if the question is flawed.
- Build data and insights: define metrics, build reports, run analyses, design experiments, and surface insights that move your team's key metrics.
- Drive outcomes: bring recommendations to product, growth, finance, or operations counterparts; explain what's happening, why, and what next steps should be.
You'll work with SQL (Clickhouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, and GitHub. The culture emphasizes no slides, no corporate fluff, and hands-on execution. You'll own a critical domain with no bloat, unnecessary meetings, or approval delays. This is not a pure strategy role—you'll see analytical insights through to end-to-end execution.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth technology company
- Strong analytical skills; ability to pull, structure, and interpret data independently
- Track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact
- Clear, persuasive communicator who can influence decisions at the leadership level
- First principles thinker who breaks ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses before touching data
- Direct communicator who can walk skeptical stakeholders through complex findings and get buy-in quickly
