Jerry is building an AI-powered platform to manage all your physical assets—starting with car insurance and expanding into home, motorcycle, RV, and beyond. The company has reached 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, scaled revenue 70X, and achieved profitability in early 2024. The Data Science & Analytics team comprises former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who drive insights and inform decision-making across the entire business. You will join the central Data Science & Analytics team (14 people) and be embedded in one of Jerry's core business areas: Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships. You'll own the analytical function for your assigned business unit end-to-end. Key responsibilities: - Define the right problems: Understand what business question an analysis answers and what decision it informs. Push back on flawed questions. - Data and insights: Define metrics, build reports, run analyses, design experiments, and surface insights that move your team's key metrics. - Drive outcomes: Bring recommendations to product, growth, finance, or operations counterparts. Communicate what's happening, why, and what next steps should be. The role is hands-on—you'll own both analytical insights and execution. You'll surface findings, drive decisions, and see them through end-to-end. The culture emphasizes no corporate fluff, no unnecessary meetings, and no waiting for approvals. Every person owns a critical domain. Tools: SQL (Clickhouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, GitHub. Requirements: - 2+ years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth technology company - Strong analytical skills; ability to pull, structure, and interpret data independently - Track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact - Clear, persuasive communicator who can influence decisions at the leadership level - First principles thinker who breaks ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses before touching data - Direct communicator who can walk skeptical stakeholders through complex findings and get buy-in - Owner mentality: act like your name is on the door and feel responsible for fixing broken things even outside your swim lane
