Jerry is an AI-powered platform managing physical assets (cars, homes, motorcycles, RVs). Starting with car insurance in 2019, the company has grown to 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, scaled revenue 70X, and achieved profitability in early 2024. The company is now expanding into adjacent verticals to become a one-stop-shop for all physical asset management.
The Data Science & Analytics team is a core strategic function composed of former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who drive insights and inform decision-making across product, growth, tech, and operations. Each business unit has an embedded data scientist who shapes questions, pulls data, draws conclusions, and drives teams toward the next milestone: scaling from 5M to 50M customers and becoming a $10B business in four years.
You will join the central Data Science & Analytics team (14 people) and be embedded in one of Jerry's core business areas: Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships. You will own the analytical function for your business unit end-to-end.
Key responsibilities:
- Define the right problems: Understand what business question an analysis answers and what decision it informs. Push back on flawed questions.
- Data and insights: Define metrics, build reports, run analyses, design experiments, and surface insights that move your team's key metrics.
- Drive outcomes: Bring recommendations to product, growth, finance, or operations counterparts. Explain what's happening, why, and what next steps should be.
The role is hands-on, not pure strategy. Your day-to-day involves surfacing analytical insights, driving decisions, and seeing them through end-to-end. The culture emphasizes no slides, no corporate fluff, and no unnecessary meetings—only work that materially changes business trajectory. You will act like an owner: if something is broken, you feel responsible for fixing it, even outside your swim lane.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth technology company
- Strong analytical skills; ability to pull, structure, and interpret data independently
- Track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact
- Clear, persuasive communicator who can influence decisions at the leadership level
- First principles thinker: break ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses before touching data
- Comfortable with SQL or Python
- Direct communicator: walk skeptical stakeholders through complex findings and get buy-in quickly
