Salary: USD 125,000 - 160,000 / annual
Iterative Health is a healthcare technology and services company accelerating clinical research across gastrointestinal, hepatology, obesity, and cardiology. The company operates a network of 100+ research sites globally and combines clinical trial expertise with AI to connect sponsors with high-performing research teams.
The Data Manager will play a critical role in building and managing data and dashboards that support operations, decision-making, and business scaling. Reporting to the Director of IT and working directly with Finance and G&A leaders, you will own data management, governance, and quality practices across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports in Amazon QuickSight, Metabase, PowerBI, and other BI platforms using AWS-hosted data
- Partner with business teams to translate reporting and analytics needs into clear data requirements and develop actionable dashboards
- Write and optimize SQL queries to analyze data, create reporting datasets, troubleshoot issues, and support scalable analytics
- Develop understanding of underlying data models and business processes to ensure dashboard accuracy
- Define and maintain consistent business metrics, calculations, and data definitions across dashboards and teams
- Validate dashboard outputs against source systems and resolve data quality issues with engineering and IT teams
- Design intuitive, performant dashboards for operational teams and leadership
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and replace manual Excel-based processes
- Partner with data and engineering teams to improve reporting datasets, data models, and pipelines
- Establish standards and documentation for dashboards, metrics, and reporting logic
- Support ad hoc analysis and other data priorities as needed
This is an opportunity to build foundational data capabilities from the ground up, bring consistency and structure to the data environment, and ensure Iterative Health has trusted data for operations and growth.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data analysis, reporting, or related field
- Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases and working with large datasets
- Experience building production dashboards and reports in BI tools (Amazon QuickSight, Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
- Experience translating business questions into metrics, analyses, datasets, and dashboards
- Strong understanding of data visualization and dashboard design
- Ability to understand data models, relationships between datasets, and data flow from source systems to reporting environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to investigate unexpected results and identify root causes
- Strong attention to detail and ownership over accuracy and reliability of reporting
- Ability to communicate technical and analytical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working cross-functionally with business, technology, and data teams
- Ability to manage multiple reporting and analytics priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication skills and business sense
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related field preferred
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience with Amazon QuickSight and/or Metabase
- Experience working with data and databases hosted in AWS
- Familiarity with AWS data services (RDS, Redshift, Athena, S3, or related)
- Experience creating reporting-ready datasets or semantic layers
- Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, or modern data warehouses
- Experience working with healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, or regulated data
- Experience building executive-level and operational dashboards
- Experience automating reporting processes or migrating from Excel to BI platforms
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis and automation
