Clarium is an AI-powered healthcare supply chain platform that helps hospital systems gain end-to-end visibility into operations, automate workflows, and reduce waste. The company has raised $43M and is trusted by leading health systems including Yale New Haven Health, Stanford, Geisinger, and Kaiser Permanente. As a Data Integration Engineer, you will own the technical side of customer data integrations for hospital systems. You'll work directly with customers to understand their ERP, inventory, and EHR systems, then design and build reliable data pipelines that ingest and transform data into Clarium's Astra OS platform. Key responsibilities include: - Leading technical discovery sessions with hospital IT and supply chain teams to understand source systems and integration requirements - Designing, building, and owning production data pipelines that ingest and transform data from customer ERP, supply chain, and operational systems - Troubleshooting integration failures in live customer environments, addressing schema mismatches, authentication issues, and data quality problems - Building reusable connectors and integration patterns to reduce onboarding time for future customers - Partnering with product and engineering teams to translate field learnings into platform improvements - Maintaining documentation and runbooks to ensure integrations are supportable at scale - Communicating integration status, risks, and timelines to both technical and non-technical stakeholders This role requires comfort with ambiguity, unfamiliar systems, and frequent customer interaction, along with full ownership of production systems. Success means building robust systems while staying close to customer problems. REQUIREMENTS: - 4+ years of professional software engineering experience - Strong Python and SQL skills; production-level code, not scripts - Hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines or system integrations in production - Comfort working directly with external customers or stakeholders; ability to run technical discovery calls, manage expectations, and communicate clearly under pressure - Builder's instinct: figure things out in ambiguous environments, read documentation, self-unblock - Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, SFTP, or similar data exchange patterns - Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical problems to non-technical audiences NICE TO HAVE: - Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) or EHR/ERP systems (Epic, Cerner, Workday, Oracle, Infor) - Familiarity with healthcare supply chain or hospital operations - Prior experience at an early-stage startup
