Zeta Global, a data and AI-powered marketing technology company, is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data Exchange team at its Copenhagen development office. The team develops and deploys next-generation data science and engineering technology, collaborating with global teams across the US, Europe, India, and the Philippines. The Copenhagen office comprises approximately 30 highly skilled professionals, many of whom are start-up veterans.
In this role, you will contribute to the analysis, development, and maintenance of Zeta's complex data infrastructure—a sophisticated ecosystem of interconnected systems. You will be involved in every stage of the development process, from brainstorming through ongoing maintenance, with emphasis on analysis, prototyping, and development. The team operates using a blend of agile and rapid prototyping methodologies, prioritizing focused development time and collaborative problem-solving.
You will work on challenging projects originating across the organization, requiring strong expertise and innovation. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and analytical, with a passion for understanding complex systems. You should be adept at using data to identify issues, formulate solutions, and develop robust data pipelines and software. You thrive with significant autonomy in planning and executing work while being a strong collaborator who engages readily with fellow developers and international product stakeholders.
The company's Zeta Marketing Platform harnesses billions of proprietary data points and sophisticated machine learning algorithms to help marketers unlock actionable insights into consumer behavior and preferences, creating personalized customer experiences across the entire customer journey.
You approach problems with an analytical mindset and pragmatic approach to solution development. You are a creative thinker, capable of identifying opportunities and weaknesses in proposed solutions and constructively contributing ideas. You thrive in a dynamic environment, adept at juggling multiple projects and connecting them with underlying data. You recognize that exploring new facets of data often yields greater insights than fine-tuning algorithmic parameters. You are equally comfortable implementing and optimizing solutions and eager to tackle new challenges.
You are a proactive and independent worker, eager to understand and engage with the company's core problem space. You possess excellent English communication skills for effective collaboration with management and colleagues across international offices. You are adaptable and comfortable navigating a dynamic environment where priorities may shift, taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion.
The company offers flexible work arrangements, including adjustable office hours and the possibility of occasional remote work. You will have freedom to select your preferred operating system (Mac, Windows) and development tools. The company encourages the introduction of new technologies, contingent upon demonstrating their value and gaining team buy-in. This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) based at the Copenhagen office.
