Lightning AI, the company behind PyTorch Lightning, is hiring a Data Center Site Operations Manager to lead operations at their Allen and Fort Worth, Texas facilities. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing the tenant fit-out and operational launch of a 10MW data center deployment housing 4,000 GPUs at launch, expanding to 10,000 GPUs as the site grows.
You will oversee the setup of data center systems within an existing colocation facility, coordinating equipment installation including rack and roll delivery, cabling, network installation, and power-up procedures. You'll manage vendor relationships, scheduling, and performance to ensure successful deployment, while tracking and managing all inventory and incoming hardware.
On the operational side, you'll lead a team of data center technicians handling maintenance, break-fix, diagnostics, and routine inspections. You'll develop and implement procedures for uptime, preventive maintenance, and incident response, serving as the primary on-site point of contact for operational issues and escalation.
Cross-functionally, you'll partner with NetOps, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support deployments and ongoing operations. You'll participate in hiring, training, and mentoring on-site technicians, and travel to other Voltage Park data centers to learn processes and align operational standards.
