Anthropic is scaling compute infrastructure across a portfolio of data center builds with multiple developer partnerships. The Data Center Portfolio Lead will own the integrated view of compute supply, allocation, decision locks, forecasting, and the frameworks that underpin execution. You will manage the portfolio itself—the sites, the partners behind them, and the decisions each site must clear on its path to operational readiness. You will be the source of truth on where every site stands and define how each moves from negotiation to deployment. You will build stage gates, cadence, and tooling that establishes a true program rather than case-by-case execution. Key responsibilities include: managing overall portfolio status, milestones, decisions, open items, and risks; leading portfolio reviews that ground teams on current supply state and downstream impacts; architecting and running the stage-gate framework that standardizes site progression from negotiation through lease execution, design, chip lock, construction, and handoff to operations; working with planning and design teams on chip allocation ahead of deadlines; serving as primary point of contact between strategic partners and internal stakeholders; and developing AI-driven tooling and data pipelines that automate project updates. Ideal candidates have managed data center or comparable capital-intensive infrastructure at scale; owned external development or partner relationships; built or run stage-gate or milestone frameworks; understand constraints like power, cooling, design, and delivery dates; and have automated reporting with tooling or data pipelines. Strong candidates may also have technical program management experience on capital projects, management consulting or internal strategy background, experience with accelerator or server fleet planning, or commercial experience negotiating leases and framework agreements.
