Adyen is seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to join its Amsterdam-based team and support the company's growing global data center footprint. This is a hands-on senior role combining strategic infrastructure oversight with operational execution. You will drive end-to-end asset and lifecycle management of data center infrastructure across Adyen's global sites. Key responsibilities include leading large-scale data center rollouts and High-Performance Computing (HPC) cluster deployments, collaborating with partners on infrastructure design and thermal management, and managing the complete hardware lifecycle from procurement through decommissioning. You'll serve as the custodian of Adyen's DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) system, ensuring all physical assets and changes are accurately documented as a single source of truth for global teams. The role requires strong project management capabilities to coordinate complex, multi-site initiatives simultaneously. You'll partner with Procurement on supply chain and logistics, act as the bridge between installation and production teams, and manage vendor relationships across regions and time zones. Hands-on field work is central to the position—you'll conduct site audits, oversee deployments, and align lifecycle standards across the global footprint, with international travel required for several weeks annually. You bring proven experience in data center engineering and operations, with a track record of designing and delivering critical infrastructure at scale. You're skilled in DCIM and large-scale asset management, excel at project coordination, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and organizational ownership. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration across technical and vendor teams are essential.
