Armada is a hyperscaler for edge AI infrastructure, backed by ~$500M in funding from Founders Fund, Lux, BlackRock, and Microsoft. The company builds modular, deployable AI infrastructure for sovereign and edge computing, with deployments across 60+ countries serving energy, defense, and other sectors.
You will own the constructability thread for Armada's Galleon and Leviathan modular data center (MDC) product lines, from early site due diligence through design, pre-construction planning, fabrication, installation, and commissioning. Your core mission: ensure that what gets designed can actually be built, on schedule, everywhere Armada operates.
Key responsibilities include:
• Constructability Review & Product Feedback: Review MDC and site designs (civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, piping, controls, ICT, IT) at each stage gate. Feed constructability input directly into product development—modularity, transport/lifting constraints, ISO container/skid interfaces, installation sequencing, commissioning strategy—catching buildability issues early while they're cheap to fix.
• Deployment Methodology Validation: Validate deployment methodologies across candidate and active sites worldwide (crane selection, site logistics, erection sequencing, tolerances, fit-up). Own early constructability due diligence to flag site-specific vendor, access, or execution risk before late-stage redesign or deployment delays.
• Standardized Construction Playbooks: Develop and maintain repeatable construction playbooks, sequencing plans, and methods of procedure for single-unit and campus-scale Leviathan deployments, turning site execution into a repeatable, SKU-like process.
• Hands-On Constructability Analysis: Lead constructability analysis (crane/lift studies, transport/logistics modeling, installation sequencing) for new Armada products or first-of-a-kind site conditions, establishing buildability basis in-house before handing execution to local partners.
• Vendor & Contractor Liaison: Serve as the constructability point of contact linking Armada's product and engineering teams with fabricators, general contractors, and local delivery partners. Support pre-construction planning and review design packages and shop drawings to ensure design matches field execution.
The role is remote (US-based) with approximately 30–40% travel to project sites, fabrication facilities, and vendor/GC locations.
