Xero's G&A Data & Analytics team is seeking a Data & Analytics Enablement Lead to own how Finance, HR, Legal, and Workplace teams find, understand, and act on data independently. You will set the enablement roadmap, define guardrails for safe self-service analytics, and design working patterns that enable teams to answer their own questions rather than queue for support. Your impact will be measured through adoption and confidence metrics. You will partner with senior leaders across Finance and HR to embed data into planning cycles, performance conversations, and decision forums. You will influence central Data, BI, and Governance teams to ensure G&A needs shape platform development. A key part of the role is lifting data and AI literacy across the function, making responsible data use something people understand and practice rather than a policy they skim. The G&A Data & Analytics team is small and senior with a broad remit across Xero's corporate functions. You will work alongside analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders, connecting closely with central teams on platform capability, semantic layer design, and rollout. The team operates in the open, sharing patterns and reusable content so good ideas benefit the entire data community. Current team priorities include: managing a SQL-based analytics stack across cloud data warehouses with dbt for transformation and Tableau for reporting; defining the G&A data enablement roadmap including approved data sources, certified dashboards, and metric definitions; designing role-based enablement programs and learning pathways for Finance, People, and leadership audiences; and building exemplar analytics experiences such as G&A scorecards and performance dashboards while maturing responsible AI use in analytics. The role is based in Auckland, Melbourne, or Sydney with a hybrid model combining in-office collaboration with work-from-home flexibility. Boost days bring the team together for connection and collaborative work, with the rest of the week flexible. Requirements: - Track record of designing and running enablement or change programs that measurably shifted how business teams use data - Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority, ideally across Finance, People, or other corporate functions - Background in modern analytics stacks including SQL, cloud data warehouses, transformation tools such as dbt, and BI platforms such as Tableau - Strength in translating complex data concepts into clear, practical guidance for different audiences - Experience defining and tracking adoption, usage, and outcome metrics, and using insights to iterate - Mentoring capability to lift skills across the analyst and business user community rather than hoarding knowledge
