You will join the Customer Reporting team as a Data Analyst II, reporting to the Director of Data Science. Working closely with Product, Customer Success, and Subject Matter Experts, you will be responsible for delivering custom and standard reporting that demonstrates Spring Health's impact to customers. You will refine Spring's storytelling strategy and data artifacts, supporting a mix of ad hoc requests and dashboard development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering analyses and dashboards to customers and internal stakeholders that tell compelling stories about Spring Health's impact
- Diving into different data sources, quickly building expertise on what is possible, and developing creative solutions based on stakeholder needs
- Developing deep understanding of products and how to tell the story of their impact to customers
- Collaborating with Product to inform evolution of customer data story and expand standard reporting suite
- Surfacing opportunities to automate and scale commonly requested reports and data sets
- Becoming expert with data stack including Snowflake, Looker, dbt, and Hex
Success in this role means customers and internal stakeholders are highly satisfied with work quality, trust the data provided, requests are completed timely while maintaining high standards, ideas are brought forward to reduce manual data pulling, and dashboards deliver ongoing value.
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco at 44 Montgomery Street, with expectation to be in office 2–3 days per week. Candidates must be based in the San Francisco metro area or able to relocate independently within 90 days of start date. Occasional travel will be required for team on-sites, with periodic travel up to 25% expected for team collaboration and company events.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of working experience with data, data visualization, and dashboarding tools (e.g., Looker, PowerBI, Tableau)
- Strong SQL skills with ability to effectively query data across many sources
- Strong analytical skills and keen eye for detail
- Focus on impact, finding deliverables that provide most value for stakeholders
- Exceptional communication skills, comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical audience
- Humble, highly motivated, thriving in fast-paced environments
- Passion for navigating ambiguous problem areas and learning new approaches
- Ability to travel periodically (up to 25%)
- Nice to have: prior experience with R and dbt
