Tripledot Studios is one of the world's largest independent mobile games companies, with 2,500+ employees across 12 studios and a portfolio of top-charting titles reaching over 25 million daily active users. You'll join Lion Studios (Tripledot's San Francisco-headquartered mobile games publisher) as a Product Scientist on a small, fast-moving product analytics team. In this role, you'll own experimentation and data-driven decision-making across the mobile games portfolio. You'll design and analyze A/B tests, build user segmentations, uncover product insights, and directly influence how millions of players experience games. This is a proactive role—you won't wait for tasks to be handed to you. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with product managers, game designers, and engineers, identifying opportunities, challenging assumptions, and turning data into real product impact. The team moves fast, ships often, and actively uses AI tools to accelerate analyses and workflows. Key responsibilities include: - Design, run, and evaluate A/B tests across multiple game titles with statistical rigor and clear, actionable outcomes - Define and monitor success metrics (retention, monetization, engagement) and build analytical frameworks driving product decisions - Perform deep-dive analyses: user segmentation, cohort analysis, funnel breakdowns, and predictive modeling to surface growth and retention opportunities - Translate business questions into data requirements and work with engineering on event tracking and data reliability - Build dashboards and reports communicating insights clearly to stakeholders - Collaborate with product teams to develop hypotheses, prioritize experiments, and foster continuous learning - Leverage AI tools and automation to speed up analyses and improve team efficiency REQUIREMENTS: - 2–4 years of experience in product analytics, data science, or similar quantitative role (ideally in mobile gaming, apps, or fast-paced tech) - Strong A/B testing expertise: design experiments end-to-end, choose appropriate statistical methods, interpret results, communicate trade-offs - Proficient in SQL: comfortable writing complex queries and working with large datasets - Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and automation - Segmentation and cohort analysis experience - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science, or similar); thesis or research experience is a strong plus - Self-starter mentality: thrive with autonomy, take ownership, execute quickly in dynamic environments - Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
