In this Data Analyst role, you will be a key contributor to enhancing Sphera's databases through annual content upgrades and developing life cycle assessment (LCA) models using Sphera LCA for Experts software. You will specialize in Data-on-Demand queries, creating tailored analytical solutions for clients across multiple sectors. Over time, you will grow into a life cycle assessment expert and power user of Sphera tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as an expert in LCA modeling for electronics, pharma, renewable materials, textiles, construction, or similar sectors
- Coordinate dataset sector upgrades
- Develop data-on-demand datasets and support external client projects
- Work within Scrum-based processes to update and create content for MLC databases
- Support customer inquiries and information requests related to MLC database topics
- Plan and organize your own work effectively
- Evaluate and categorize JIRA issues into new features, improvements, or bug fixes
- Drive AI and other tool usage to improve data management

REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed degree in engineering or natural sciences with a technical background, or equivalent practical experience
- Several years of experience in LCA, ideally with LCA FE software
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or other programming languages
- Experience with AI tool usage
- Structured and disciplined approach to work with strong process adherence
- Interest in technical details of manufacturing processes, materials, and energy supplies
- Very good analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral English communication
- Knowledge and passion for sustainability, life cycle thinking, product sustainability, and/or climate change
- Natural curiosity to investigate issues, conduct research, and translate results into business practices
- Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities
