Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at unprecedented speed and scale. The Commissioning Team is responsible for standing up commissioning programs for 50+ GW of capacity this decade, including first-of-a-kind modular data centers. As Commissioning Site Manager, you will act as the Owner's representative across multiple sites, directing general contractors, designers, commissioning agents, and vendors through comprehensive commissioning (Levels 1–5) of chilled water, HVAC, electrical, building management systems (BMS), and energy management systems (EPMS). You will witness and verify all pre-functional and functional testing in the field, including flushing, pressure testing, test and balance, equipment startup, sequence of operations validation, NETA acceptance testing, and integrated systems tests. Key responsibilities include reviewing commissioning plans, method of procedure documents, test scripts, and vendor startup reports against ASHRAE, BCxA, and NETA standards before field deployment. You will own the commissioning schedule and issues log for each site, surfacing failed tests, punch items, and vendor readiness gaps early to protect energization and turnover dates. You will troubleshoot startup and performance issues on mechanical plant, electrical distribution, and controls; isolate root causes to design, installation, controls, or equipment; and drive fixes through the responsible party. You will maintain current issues logs, test records, and turnover packages so facilities teams can operate plants on day one, and provide written briefings to GCs, designers, and owners that drive decisions. Fluidstack operates with full autonomy, insane urgency, first-principles reasoning, and a focus on building something that matters. The company is committed to pay equity and transparency.
