As a Customs Analyst in the Hamburg office, you'll be a key member of the Customs team supporting EMEA operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities include processing and submitting customs declarations for clients across the region, conducting tariff classification of goods, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. You'll collaborate closely with internal operations teams, sales, and legal departments, as well as directly with clients to gather documentation and resolve customs-related queries. A critical part of your role involves monitoring changes in customs laws and regulations, advising stakeholders on potential impacts, and identifying complex issues for escalation to senior analysts or management. You'll maintain meticulous records and ensure all customs activities meet Flexport's high compliance standards in this heavily regulated industry. The role requires 1+ years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or related field, with solid understanding of customs procedures, import/export regulations, and tariff classification specific to EMEA. You should have exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in customs declaration software and Microsoft Office. Fluency in both German and English is essential.
