Pave is building the industry's leading compensation platform, combining the world's largest real-time compensation dataset with AI and machine learning expertise. The platform serves 8,500+ companies including OpenAI, McDonald's, Instacart, Atlassian, Stripe, and Databricks, managing $190+ billion in total compensation spend. As a Customer Success Engineer, you will own the end-to-end implementation and success of 30-40 customers. Your primary responsibilities include driving successful implementation projects for Pave's compensation software by partnering closely with HR and Finance leaders to transform their compensation strategies. You'll manage detailed project plans, identify risks early, and maintain clear communication across multiple stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery. You'll become a trusted compensation expert and strategic advisor to customers, helping them leverage the platform to solve complex compensation challenges and establish scalable processes. You'll execute on technical needs including integrations, data migrations, and configurations. Collaboration is key—you'll work across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to surface customer needs, identify platform improvement opportunities, and contribute to product evolution. The role requires 2+ years of experience as a customer-facing CSE, Technical Account Manager, or Implementation Manager at a B2B SaaS company. You must have deep technical knowledge of JSON, HTML, SQL, and API integrations. Strong project management skills, creative problem-solving ability, and meticulous attention to detail are essential. You should be comfortable working autonomously, prioritizing high-leverage work, and operating in a fast-paced startup environment wearing multiple hats. Excellent stakeholder management across project managers, HR leaders, and finance teams is critical. You'll thrive on understanding the "why" behind customer asks and finding solutions that prevent future problems, not just solve immediate ones.
