Forward Networks is seeking a Customer Success Engineer to provide post-sales technical leadership to enterprise clients. Founded in 2013 by Stanford Ph.D.s, Forward built the industry's first network digital twin—a mathematically accurate model of production networks that enables autonomous networking and AI agents to predict the impact of changes before deployment. The platform is trusted by global leaders including Goldman Sachs, PayPal, S&P Global, IBM, and Dell, with customers realizing an average of $14.2 million in annual benefits.
In this role, you will be the primary technical point of contact for enterprise customers, ensuring successful adoption and ongoing usage of Forward's platform. You'll provide expert guidance on network digital twin technology, own post-sales technical issues, and collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams to drive customer success. You'll guide customers through adoption stages and document troubleshooting procedures. The position requires some travel (approximately 10%) and is based onsite at customer locations, with primary options in New York City, Jersey City, or Charlotte, NC (hybrid).
You'll need a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience, plus 5+ years in a post-sales engineering role for a networking company, software vendor, or as a network engineer at a large enterprise, service provider, or government agency. Strong understanding of networking and security fundamentals is essential, along with hands-on experience with major network vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, F5, A10, etc.). Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required, with demonstrated ability to drive customer satisfaction and retention in fast-paced environments.
Highly desired qualifications include advanced certifications (CCIE, JNCIE, VCDX), startup experience, and working knowledge of API-driven workflows and scripting languages (Python, bash, jq, GraphQL). Preference given to candidates willing to be onsite at NY customer locations.
