Battleface is a humanity-focused travel insurance company reimagining how travelers access customized insurance solutions. As Customer Service Team Leader, you'll lead a distributed team providing support across multiple channels and geographies, balancing hands-on customer interaction with team development and operational excellence.
You'll own day-to-day team leadership, coaching team members through regular feedback, one-on-one conversations, and structured development plans. Responsibilities include onboarding and training new hires, creating and maintaining knowledge resources, and monitoring service quality, productivity, and workload in an omnichannel environment. You'll participate in quality-calibration sessions to ensure fair and consistent evaluations, support complex customer and system escalations, and step into frontline support when service levels or business needs require it.
A key part of the role is translating frontline feedback into actionable insights on business initiatives, processes, and technology that affect the team and customer journey. You'll foster a supportive, accountable team environment grounded in active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness—core to battleface's mission.
You bring at least two years of experience in a team leader, supervisor, senior agent, or comparable customer-service leadership role, with proven coaching and support experience. You're comfortable working remotely and managing remote or international teams, can interpret and manage high volumes of performance data, and thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments. Strong written and verbal communication skills, confidence handling complex issues and escalations, and broad technical proficiency (Microsoft Office) are essential.
Ideal candidates have professional experience in travel insurance, relevant licensing (travel insurance, P&C, or accident & health), experience in technology-focused startups or high-growth businesses, and exposure to multi-country, multi-timezone customer support. Personal international travel experience is a plus.
