Axiom Space is seeking a Customer Integration Manager to lead customer experience and program management for its human spaceflight services. This role serves as the primary point of contact for commercial spaceflight customers, overseeing project and program execution through contract deliverables and ensuring mission success.
Key responsibilities include managing human spaceflight customer contracts with deep knowledge of terms, conditions, requirements, and deliverables; maintaining strong customer relationships throughout contract execution and closeout; facilitating communication between internal teams (Mission Operations, Astronaut Operations, Payload Integration, Finance, Legal, etc.) and external stakeholders; conducting regular status reviews and follow-ups, including non-standard hours support as needed; tracking and resolving customer issues and contract challenges; managing P&L for customer contracts; supporting contract negotiations; and defining processes and policies to optimize program execution.
The role requires cross-functional coordination across Mission Operations, Human Health, Performance & Operations, Program Integration, Mission Management, Payload Integration & Operations, Astronaut Operations, Communications, Marketing, Guest Operations, Sales, Contracts, Legal, and Finance to balance customer satisfaction with Axiom Space's business priorities.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 7+ years of program/project management or equivalent professional experience. Experience with the contracting lifecycle (proposals, negotiation, execution, closeout) and international government relations is a plus. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, high emotional intelligence, entrepreneurial mindset, and passion for space exploration. Core competencies include accountability, technical rigor, execution discipline, and pride of delivery.
