Granular Energy is a fast-growing climate tech startup building a SaaS platform to help electricity systems transition to 24/7 clean energy. The platform provides portfolio management solutions to electricity companies, suppliers, and utilities across Europe and the US, enabling hourly matching between green generation and consumption at scale. You will lead the Technical Solutions/Customer Delivery team (currently 5 people with budget for growth), sitting at the intersection of Sales, Customer Success, and Product. This is a hands-on manager role with three core responsibilities: 1. Team Leadership: Manage team members through performance assessment, workload assignment, team planning, and rituals. You'll oversee the entire client delivery activity and provide reporting on project health to senior leadership. 2. Operational Excellence: Implement structural and process changes to operationalize implementation and delivery. Streamline customer integration workflows, establish project discipline, and continuously seek improvements in how projects are delivered. 3. Hands-On Delivery: Manage implementation projects for key accounts (especially complex ones) alongside your team. This includes analyzing client systems (ETRMs, billing systems, ERPs, CRMs), designing data/integration pipelines, and occasionally scripting integrations. You'll also identify upselling opportunities and collaborate with commercial and product teams on new capabilities. Your responsibilities span analyzing complex business processes from client data, designing robust integration strategies, managing escalations, and contributing to cross-functional projects. The role is strategically important and offers the opportunity to drive meaningful change in the energy industry while learning across multiple departments. The company is well-funded with a long runway, remote-first, and holds three all-hands gatherings annually in European cities (Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, London). You'll work with Europe's leading power exchanges and grid operators. REQUIREMENTS: - STEM education - Experience in SaaS implementation, business analysis, consulting, or auditing—ideally in energy, commodity trading, banking, or at SaaS vendors - Proven experience managing a team (performance assessment, workload assignment) - Excellent remote communication skills and ability to interact with diverse internal/external stakeholders - Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail - Knowledge of a scripting language (preferably Python) or ability to use LLMs to automate workflows - Comfortable in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines while maintaining quality - Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and office tools - Fluent in English BONUS: - Startup and/or remote environment experience - Knowledge of energy industry systems (energy retail CRM, ETRM, front-to-back solutions, accounting software) - Understanding of utility business functions and processes (front-office, middle-office/risk, back-office)
